Correctly reflect and reset OKRs

In this article, we will show you which questions you can ask yourself in order to properly reflect on your objectives and key results at the end of an OKR cycle. OKR is a way of life for companies. And just like in life, you need regular checks to make sure you’re still going in the right direction. The practice of quarterly reflection helps them to do this. It allows you to regularly review your OKRs in their entirety and make adjustments for the next quarter.

Adjustments to the OKRs for the next quarter can be, for example:

  • Designating an OKR as completed and completing it
  • Extend an OKR unchanged until the next quarter
  • Extension of an OKR to the next quarter with some changes, for example some new key results and some changes to existing key results.

The idea behind reflecting on OKRs is to ask yourself: What can we do better this time?

The Reset/Reflect function in our software helps you to achieve this goal as easily as possible. It allows you to reflect on your successes from the current quarter and apply your take-aways in the next quarter. Our software supports you in this learning process. It helps you to define your “reflection” questions and to capture your insights through direct answers to these questions. You can then easily adjust your key results.
